The first task will be to jointly create a word cloud answering the question: "Where can you find a circle?". Students will make a variety of associations, from everyday objects such as watches and bicycle wheels to more abstract concepts such as nature's cycles and planetary orbits. Thanks to this exercise, we will discover how versatile and ubiquitous the form of the circle is in our lives.
STREAM educational games
Then we will divide into groups to create educational games based on the STREAM model (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics). Each group will receive one of the words from the word cloud as the topic of their game. The task will be not only to develop the rules of the game, but also to come up with a name and logo for the group, which we will then place on the boards. Games will become not only an educational tool, but also a source of great fun!
Activities with quotes about creativity
Creativity is the leitmotif of our activities, so we decided to encourage various activities related to the topic of the selected quote. Divided into teams, students will create comics, acrostics, crosswords, record videos and prepare quotes. From these small productions we will create one inspiring material - a photo book that will show how diverse the views on creativity can be and how important it is in our lives.
Polka dot poster
Our celebration cannot do without an artistic element. Each group will prepare two different elements that together will create one large dotted poster - A meadow that gives power. This joint project will be an excellent opportunity to express yourself through art and show how diverse interpretations of one motif can be.
Blog - ideas for Dot Day
At the same time, we will all write a blog together, where we will share our ideas for celebrating Dot Day. Each entry will be marked with, among others: STREAM labels, which will allow us to show a wide range of approaches to this special day. We hope for a variety of ideas - from artistic workshops, through scientific experiments, to literary competitions. Because everyone can find something for themselves on Dot Day!
Cooperation and creativity in everyday life
Dot Day is just an excuse to discover, learn and create together. Thanks to these tasks, we will not only better understand how comprehensive learning can be, but also how important cooperation and creativity are in our everyday lives. We encourage everyone to take similar actions and share their ideas for celebrating Dot Day!
I would like to join to the project Around the dot
